The Teeling Whiskey distillery is a beautiful purpose built establishment located in the heart of the original Golden Triangle in the Liberties area of Dublin. The distillery was established by Jack and Stephen Teeling, whose father John Teeling founded the Cooley Distillery in 1987. When distilling began in 2013 under the watchful eye of Alex Chasko, Teeling’s Master Distiller, it became the first new distillery to open in Dublin in 125 years. The distillery has three copper pot stills in tribute to Dublin’s tradition of triple distillation. The first is a 15,000L wash still. The second is a smaller 10,000L intermediate still and the third has a capacity of 9,000L and functions as a spirit still. Their ethos is to continue the innovative cask finishing techniques used by Cooley Distillery under their fathers tutelage. The visitors centre opened its doors to the public in 2015 and attracts upwards of 125,000 visitors a year. Whiskey tourists get to  experience the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the fully operational distillery on a guided tour, followed by a range of tasting options These are designed to suit all tastes from whiskey beginners to connoisseurs. There are also premium tour options for Single Malt.
